The Central Texas Angel Network announced today that its angel-investor members participated in a $2 million round of funding for Austin-based SmarteSoft, the leader in easy-to-use, keyword-based, automated software testing products. The funding round was led by Daylight Partners. SmarteSoft plans to use the funding to accelerate expansion of its global Value Added Reseller network.

Smartesoft’s innovative test automation technologies enable non-technical users to completely develop test suites from scratch. The functional and performance test products are designed for extreme speed of implementation, and do not require any programming or scripting skills. Customers range from start-up to Fortune 500 companies, and include American Airlines, Emerson Process, Thermo Electron, and Posera Software.
