2022 A-LIST Recap
11 years of celebrating Austin's brightest innovators
Posted on 08/11/2022 by Gabrielle Rodriguez
Check out the digital program! On Wednesday, August 3 the Austin Chamber in partnership with SXSW held the 11th Annual A-LIST Awards. This event is designed to recognize homegrown companies in various growth stages. These companies are developing new ways to connect with customers while transforming their industries and creating a robust culture for their employees. For the first time this year, the A-LIST Awards also honored Investors of the Year.
This year’s event was held at the Long Center for the Performing Arts and featured both a VIP reception beforehand and an after-party following the event with live music, food, and drinks. At the VIP reception Austin Chamber Board Chair Fred Heldenfels welcomed the crowd and introduced special guest Congressman Lloyd Doggett, who joined us for the event.
Featured Speakers - Janice Omadeke and Albert Swanter
Janice Omadeke and Albert Swantner of the Mentor Method were our featured speakers. They talked about the power of mentorship and preserving Austin's collaborative spirit through the rapid changes the city is undergoing. The challenge from Janice was to be aware of new faces and help them get their legs underneath them so they can be successful.
