Austin Job Postings Report May 2023

There were approximately 86,000 available job postings during the May 2023 monthly reporting period, approximately 10,000 more job postings than the previous month. New (first-time) postings decreased by 1,197 to 25,831. New Job Postings, in May 2023, represented 30 percent of all Available Job Postings – seven percent less than in April. New Job Postings in the Austin, Dallas, and Houston metros decreased by 4-5% compared to the prior month.

There were approximately 74,000 available job postings during the April 2023 monthly reporting period, approximately 6000 more job postings than the previous month. New (first-time) postings increased by 2,234 to 27,028. New Job Postings represented 37 percent of all Available Job Postings – the same as the prior month. New Job Postings in the Austin, Dallas, and Houston metros increased by 8-10% compared to the prior month.
