Austin Chamber member Curative is seeking a spot on the SXSW 2024 schedule and they need your vote to make it happen! By August 20, please submit your vote and comments on their proposal for "Is Your Health Insurance Making You Sick?" with CEO Fred Turner.
According to a recent survey conducted among Texas metro area residents who have employer-sponsored health insurance, over half of them (53%) admitted that they are still unable to cover the out-of-pocket costs for their medical bills. Our current health insurance model doesn't work well — with high costs leading people to delay care. What’s needed is a new model of health insurance that genuinely prioritizes well-being by offering support to its members through an accessible, engaging, and personalized system of care, all while reducing costs for members and businesses.
During this presentation, you’ll learn:
- How restructuring health care insurance benefit design can help with preventing disease and illness while lowering the cost of care
- How eliminating cost-sharing (no copays and deductibles) removes barriers to seeking care and reduces medical debt for its members
- The importance of a health insurance company knowing you as an individual with unique, special needs and providing the right services to keep you healthy
Curative is deeply rooted in our Austin community, and they’re seeking the support of their fellow chamber members as they seek to improve the health and wellbeing of Texans.
Please vote for Curative to receive a SXSW slot so that we can bring this conversation to life.
Upvotes and comments are appreciated!
