As we gather with our loved ones this Thanksgiving, it is a time for reflection and gratitude. While 2023 has brought its share of challenges, there is a lot to be thankful for. On behalf of the Austin Chamber of Commerce, I would like to extend my warmest wishes for a joyful Thanksgiving and express our deep appreciation for your continued support and partnership.

Austin is a city like no other, and this year, here is what I am thankful for and reflecting on during this season of giving thanks.

Economic Resilience
Austin has shown remarkable economic resilience during challenging times. Our diverse economy, vibrant small business community, and dedicated workforce have contributed to our ability to weather the storms and emerge stronger. I am thankful for the businesses and individuals who have worked tirelessly to keep Austin's economy thriving.

Quality of Life

Our city's quality of life is truly something to be grateful for. From our beautiful parks and outdoor activities to our world-class cultural scene, Austin offers a high quality of life that few cities can match.

Community Spirit
Austin is not without its problems to solve, but the spirit of working together to tackle them is unparalleled. The sense of community and unity in Austin is something to cherish. I am continually reminded that Austin has dedicated leaders who want to make Austin more than just a place to live—it's a place to belong.

Innovation and Tech Hub
I am truly grateful to be at the heart of a thriving technology and innovation economy. Our city's dedication to fostering startups, attracting top talent, and supporting tech giants has made Austin a hub for innovation.

Education and Research

We just held our annual event to celebrate our talent, workforce, and education efforts, which highlighted how important our education system is to our economy. Austin is home to renowned educational institutions and research centers that are helping shape the future. The business and education communities continue to work together to create career opportunities that enrich the lives of the people in our region.
