Inside the Capitol with the Texas Legislative Black Caucus
Posted on 03/17/2021 by Amanda Gutman
The Texas Legislative Black Caucus was formed in 1973 and originally consisted of eight members. Today, the TxLBC is composed of 17 members of the Texas House of Representatives and two Senators of the Texas Senate committed to addressing the issues African Americans face across the State of Texas.
On March 12th, we welcomed Chairwoman Nicole Collier, Senator Royce West and Representative Sheryl Cole to discuss the priorities of the Texas Legislative Black Caucus during the 87th Texas Legislative Session. The panel was moderated by Nikelle Meade of Husch Blackwell.
