Ensuring that Central Texas has the workforce it needs to support all the growth our region has coming our way is central to our mission. Throughout the year, we support funding for student success and programs that enhance workforce training, like our high school internship program with Austin ISD.
Austin Chamber & Austin ISD's Summer Internship Program
This summer, over 30 chamber businesses opened their doors and hosted 180 high school students throughout Travis County. In addition, we partnered with AISD to pilot a paid high school professional internship program providing students with soft skills training, networking opportunities, and mentorship from career professionals.

Our State of the City event on Tuesday, October 15th where Mayor Kirk Watson shared vital insights into Austin's achievements, opportunities, and economic landscape. Thank you to our board member Trey Salinas, who facilitated a panel on local issues featuring experts including Dr. Michael Webber (energy and water), Pamela Madere (public safety), and Jason Becker (local economic issues and the lending landscape).
