TikTok Celebrating Small Businesses
Businesses of all sizes have a space to express creativity on TikTok. When they show up on TikTok, they are a part of the community, bringing joy, education, and entertainment to their customers. Please read our newsroom blog post from Becca Sawyer, Head of SMB & Operations, Global Business Solutions at TikTok.
At TikTok, we celebrate the impact of small businesses every day. They are the core of our community — both on TikTok and beyond. Last summer, we gave small businesses $100 million in ad credits and launched TikTok for Business to help them connect with others and thrive. As small businesses continue to be an important part of the TikTok community, we're excited to celebrate them for the vibrancy that they bring to both our local communities and the TikTok community.
Here are our activations throughout the month of May:
· We're activating #SupportSmallBusinesses to encourage the TikTok community to discover and show some love for their favorite small business. Businesses can also use the same hashtag to share their stories and offer a peek into their world.
· Working with Nielsen, we are giving businesses the ability to tailor their paid ad campaigns on TikTok to specific Designated Market Areas. DMA geo-targeting provides businesses who want to reach customers and users in the United States with more granular location targeting options, tapping into more opportunities for our SMB businesses while maximizing resources. · We're hosting a four-part series on ClubHouse with our new official TikTok for Business Club. The conversations will take place every Friday throughout May at 11:00 am EST. Our guest speakers will give small business owners across the country the chance to learn how to get started on TikTok, find their communities and thrive.
