Austin Chamber honors most philanthropic businesses

The Austin Chamber of Commerce today recognized this year's Austin Gives Generous Business Award Recipients.

The Austin Gives program recognizes businesses that have pledged one percent or more of pre-tax earnings—such as volunteer time, products, services and financial contributions—to the local community.

Nominees were separated into four categories based on company size. This year's awards also recognized employee engagement.

Generous Business, Extra Large: Bank of America

St. David’s Foundation CEO Earl Maxwell was also honored with the Bobby Jenkins Philanthropic Leadership Award. This award is given to a business leader who exemplifies a commitment to philanthropy and promotes the welfare and well being of others.
